First of all, the trick is not expensive and I would not call it a waste of money. However, the demonstration of the trick at the bar is poor. There are multiple times where the spectator's head is in the way or you can't get the angles of what just happened. That could definitely be improved upon handmade cleaner.

The trick is difficult and will take a lot of work. At this point I am not sure the effect is worth the time but will give it a fair shot.
