There are some wonderful effects on this dvd - Mr clean coins across, the himber sankey count, the
coins through table...astonishing and practical coin magic. So why don't I like it? Two minor
reasons, and one major one. First some of the tricks are silly (the first coin production, some
nonsense with card boxes and others). Secondly, rather than being the traditional
effect/explanation structure, each 'track' is unstructured to the point of sometimes seeming almost
random - which is OK in principle, but in practice the sections seem unplanned "what shall I do
next...err..try this" with no attempt at quality control or re recording of any less than
satisfactory performances. Laziness? Yes. Arrogance - certainly. Which brings me to by far the
worst part of this dvd for me - Sankey's irritating, overbearing and deeply unfunny presentation of
almost all the effects. Why does he insit on adopting deeply unfunny "funny" accents? Why does he
pull all thoste silly faces? Why is his performance so excruciatingly painful to watch, making
repeat viewings about as enjoyable as root canal treatment? At one point he is suddenly and quite
needlessly blasphemous (I'm an atheist, but even so - why?). He come across on this dvd as a
contemptuous, arrogant so and so wrongly convinced of his talents as an off-the-wall comedian (is
there one single funny thing in 2 hours plus of his performance?). I should have known - I saw him
live once in Blackpool and he was astongishingly rude to a member of the audience for no reason
whatsoever, and clearly has learned no more humility since. Buy it if you must, but hey Sankey work
on your personality, or at least learn how to control it so you can at least pretend to be decent
