Catching Cold (great title for the routine)
I am a hobbyist magician, somewhere beyond
base beginner but not yet intermediate level. Carl Irwin's lessons always deliver with techniques
that are super useful and within my grasp, with a little practice. I had to rework my grip for a
smoother dribble, but with a few weeks under my belt, I'm catching successfully most of the time,
using the impromptu method. And my dribble is prettier.
The gaff is simple and
effective, and open to other possibilities. I've made both a red and blue backed. I could see its
use in less than ideal conditions, like low light. (Old eyes, here)
There's a few
extra tidbits, like a handy table wash that can work in many situations, a little history, and solid
instruction on the required moves.
I'm working this in as the closer to an ACR from
Carl's "Magic Bullet" lesson.
An impressive move that can work on it's own or be
integrated into other effects, I'm stoked to add this to the skill set. And did I mention the
price? Fugetaboutit! Thanks, Common!
