This outstanding trick is even easier that I guessed from the ad video (I thought I detected a DPS
which isn't actually there). My son, who is a stronger card magician than I am, is completely
baffled by this trick. There are so many magical moves and procedures that fellow magicians will be
watching for and which just aren't there! Ungimmicked, fairly shuffled, unmarked deck, no forces at
all, 4 free choices (selection plus 3 helpers), no card switches, and yet the selection is found at
the sum of the three helpers. The spectator can be handed the deck after the selection of the three
helpers and do the counting themselves, the selection is really there at the predicted location.
The method is simple, but brilliant. I was familiar with a similar principle, but completely failed
to detect its operation here (as I think nearly everyone else will as well).
After performing
this a few times and getting very good reactions, I think this is my new favorite impromptu trick.
