In my opinion, you need to be HYPER FOCUSED and a wizard in handling specialized cards to pull this
off. I cannot say more without giving out the secret. I practiced a lot. Yet, I could not perfect
it, and I felt hopeless. But, again - I am not a professional magician, and maybe it will not be as
much of a challenge for experienced card performers.
Nevertheless, I will add that if and
when you can master the handling, you will have excellent relations and end clean. Unfortunately, I
do not see that happening for me.
Sorry but bottom or second dealing?
The dealing looks great via social media but in person, up close, under bright light, I would be cautious... as some cards might look "thicker" or "thinner" then others.
A new twist on an old concept with the inherent problems associated with this concept. LOTS of information on the tutorial and several useable ideas. Practice as with all magic is required and careful handling so as not to give the miracle away.
It’s a great Idea but the deck can’t be fully inspected as the ad copy says. If the spec picks the number 11 and you deal that number you can automatically see there’s not 11 cards dealt to the table or the hand by the thickness of the pile alone, even a child would tell the difference. If you perform it twice for a group of people and one spec picks 11 and the next spec picks 21 the card pile is exactly the same. That’s my only concern other than that Well Done Craig.
No false shuffle, no bottom deal ... you are getting way too complicated. It is easy to do as you are dealing cards from the top of the deck, but you do need a bit of practice to get the "feel". No difficult sleight of hand here ... and a bit of thinking.
It is clever and worthwhile.
For the handling, I would suggest to re-watch the instructional video and very closely burn Craig's hands. Once you get the gist of what he is doing and master the right touch (which shouldn't really take too long) anyone should be able to make it work like in the videos.
For those complaining about inspectability, thickness of the pile, etc., this is all about performance and spectator management. The pile size is easily managed just by being a little intentionally sloppy about how you deal the cards down. And if you're going to hand the deck out for inspection, just gather the whole deck first, and "sloppy it up" a bit.
