I was super excited to see a "Rubber Band Magic" issue coming out so I "bought" it (didn't need $50
worth of stuff to get it free & I didn't want to miss out on it).
Turned out not to be
"all" rubber band. They had to get some Live Act promos and an R. Paul Wilson coin effect review
tossed in (fine, they can self promote in their own magazine, but why not rubber band stuff like
"Joe Rindfleisch Live" and maybe a review of "Melting Point by Casshan Wallace" (both Penguin & both
rubber band).
Then there is the "Gimmick Included". You receive exactly 2 of Joe's
fantastic rubber bands (1 ea of 2 colors) (yet the set up for a couple effects require several on
the wrist) Would it have killed your bottom line to include 3 or 4 of each of the 2 color bands for
a fair assessment of the effects (which I know are great, but I have hundreds of Joe's bands in most
every color).
The effects in the issue are fine, great in fact, I have no problem with the
content in that regard, but the "gimmick sort of included" was a bummer as well as being unhelpful
to a potentially new rubber band magic enthusiast.
