This wouldn't fool a cat. I can't tell you what is so bad without revealing the secret except maybe
to say that the alignment is HORRIBLE making the method obvious to anyone watching. The moment when
the "something" happens is clearly visible because "something" happens in one spot, while "something
else" is happening in a completely different spot. I might compare it to trying to do a double
turnover with cards that are misaligned by nearly the full width of a card. no one would believe it
was a single card.
I didn't see this issue in any of the videos, but it is quite evident in
person. I bought this, and so did a friend, and we both see this same problem.
Great idea.
Shoddy execution.
I was having the same problem until I started experimenting with holding the light at an angle as suggested in the video. Now, that I know the best angle and holding of my light the "alignment" issues are not a problem. I no longer have to wave the light to mask the alignment issue.
