So, after a year of using Unseen Force, I would like to update my previous review. I still stand by
the hookup system as it is definitely a departure from other ITRs. However, the thread that comes
with it is very fragile and breaks often. It is a major pain in the butt to fix the break. The
reels are extremely complex as they rely on a manual spring activated pull. Although they go into
detail on how to disassemble the reel for repair or reloading, it is very frustrating to take the
thing apart and then put it back together again in the right order. I replaced the thread with the
newly released Ellusionist thread which is excellent. But mostly, I take exception to the
"Unlimited Possibilities" in the description. It is not unlimited - you are basically restricted to
dealing with a large loop which limits effects compared to the Spider Pen X. They spend so much
time on the tutorial on how to balance cards that there is little data on floating bills, rings,
etc. I find that while performing live, the number of effects is limited by the mechanical loop
approach. There are a number of other ITRs on the market that are more flexible and allow for some
really amazing tricks. For a few more bucks, you can buy Mesika's Spider Pen X which also allows for
hookups that are equally flexible and don't require anything more than a shirt or jacket with or
without a collared shirt. Of course you switch out the ITRs for another system, but it requires two
reels and can get expensive - and you are still limited to the large loop performance approach.
Mine went into my drawer and I have chosen other methods/approaches to perform my levitations.
