This is a thoughtful, insightful and rather provocative perspective on one man's career in magic.
The explanations of effects and discussion of props are way more than instructions - they portray
the evolution of a masterful approach to street performance, memorialized on the small stage. The
integration of magic with raucous humor and the ambience of the street are not for everybody, but
everybody will gain a new perspective on the larger meaning and purpose of doing this stuff in the
first place. It belongs in the Smithsonian.
