If you buy something cheap, you get something cheap... Mine would barely slide unless I had them almost vertical. Also, The tassels are not heavy enough to pull the string through. So I took mine apart and attempted to sand out the inside with fine grit sandpaper on a dowel rod and silicon but have had no luck making the inside smooth enough to slide smoothly at approx 45 degrees but no luck as of yet.
