Werlen's Green Neck System is one of the most significant pioneering approaches to Mentalism in
our generation, so I was really interested when his Devil's Cups came out. The kit is fine, the
several effects are taught reasonably well, and the signature effect demonstrated how utterly
powerful the Green Neck principle can become when you add another principle. I could not perform
the effects out of the box after one study of the video; it took some serious reviewing and
rehearsal, but performing it is more than worth the investment of some time.
I have
expanded on the kit in two ways. First, the kit is small and can only play for closeup to small
parlor, so I bought five larger cups and dice on Amazon. Second, by adding a fifth cup, I also
perform using the Quinta method. By employing three different systems (Green Neck, some subtle
marking and Quinta), I am armed for a serious set of effects.
