This pad seems fine for coin and card work. Good size so it's pretty easy to put in a bag/case and travel with. Material seems fine, no complaints. It can be rolled up a bit safely without creases or buckling of the fabric or rubber. We got it on sale so price was great. I have made my own mats, but this price and quality seemed better than the cost and effort of making your own.
