I just recently discovered this trick and could not stop watching the few performances that I was
able to find online. I had a few ideas about how I thought it was done, but each time I watched it
performed, there was no way it could have been done 'this way' or 'that way', which got me even more
excited. It's such a good visual. It's a very simple method and you really can use any deck of
cards, which makes it that much better. I always have at least 5 or 6 different decks on me,
wherever I go, at all times, which will help sell the effect even more.
The included DVD
has Angelo explaining everything, including what to do and what NOT to do (which I love) to get the
best result from a performance. It's clear that he is a deep thinker and has a personal passion for
creating great
looking effects.
My opinion of angles for this one: while you'll want
to be aware of where your audience is, in relation to yourself, it's a very unique effect, that they
won't see coming, which helps. If done correctly, even if they think they know what's happening, by
then, you're done and can just hand the whole
deck and tuck case out, clean, for examination.
