This is a solid trick which is being rightfully appreciated. I'm writing this review as my own
personal opinion, because I wish there'd been a similar review to read before I'd bought it. I was
looking for a simple pocket trick to carry around and throw into the rotation alongside my usual
mainstay material. In the past I've used crazy cube, or a similar, brass-machined die divination
effect, and I was hoping this might replace that. Unfortunately, it doesn't. When I opened the
packaging I was disappointed to see that the multiple individual components required for the routine
actually make it 3x larger than expected - not the "simple pocket trick" I was hoping for.
Additionally, to perform the routine needs a brief setup and holdout. It's quick, but setup,
clothing restrictions, and small jangling parts were all unpleasant, unexpected surprises for me. As
for the routine itself, those extra phases are nice...but they're nicest for magicians. What we see
as an ingenious, brilliant method, for spectators is often just so-so. When I did try the routine
out, the reaction to the final phase wasn't any stronger than the reaction from a normal color
vision box -- and why should it be? It's the exact same effect, multiple times, and the only
additional excitement is the cancelling out of methods. I feel that cancelling out methods is
usually more exciting for magicians than it is for spectators. At best I would just perform this as
the normal color vision box, so I wish I'd paid $3 for it instead of $20. This product just wasn't
for me.
