I have FLUX and Espionage. Both are very reliable, Espionage is small enough you do not need to
finger palm it. You can easily hide it under a watch. FLUX is a slightly larger device.
As with
both devices, the larger coin, a half dollar, is more detectable from a greater distance.
If I
plan on finger palming a device, FLUX is more comfortable for my size hand.
Both devices
out-perform the old detectors.
I bought mine from Promystic directly so I contacted them for a link. They sent a link to a video with the full explanation in English by their designer (?). It's the man who you see doing the demo on their page.
The video is a complete and detailed explanation of Flux's features and use.
I would guess if you could provide proof of purchase from another vendor they would honor it. But, as experience has taught me, we don't always keep our proof of purchase for magic equipment.
I also own Flux, is there a big difference between the two other than size? I know with Flux I would have to touch their hand if using a quarter. Would you have to touch their hand with espionage? Or does it really detect without touching?
Espionage will work without touching the hand but you do have to get very close for a quarter. FLUX has the greater range although a quarter has a small magnetic field.
Remember, you do not have to use coins. You can crumple a small magnet (the thicker the better) in a bill or use one of the magnetic balls available that look like a black marble.
So if I own mental die, I can do a similar effect, I'd just have to ask the spectators one by one to turn their hand to the side. When it thumps, I know who has it. However, I'm debating to buy espionage anyway.
