I was surprised at the simplicity of it, but of course audiences aren’t wowed by how difficult an
illusion is but simply if it fools them. This will fool them by the simple props used that they
handle every day. He mentions about being sure to use cups from the environment you’re in- I do my
coffee drinking primarily at McDonald’s, and the cups there work awesomely well. Note: it needs to
be paper cups (Starbucks, McDonald’s), not styrofoam or plastic. But with a few minutes of set-up
and you’re ready to go. And easy enough: dispose of it afterwards, you’re left clean and can simply
prepare another for the next showing later on. Not really good to repeat with the same person as
the effect simply repeats itself. But think about how throwing them away takes away from any
thought of gimmicks or fancy props! Highly recommended.
