I bought these 12 scarves and made a silk fountain from them by using a large safety pin to hold
them together in the center of the scarves. I also attached a 36 inch butterfly silk to it as a
final load. I also used a strip of Velcro long enough to go around the bundle. By the way; you dont
have to go to a table or some container before doing the silk fountain. The bundle of silks will fit
into your right jacket pocket. Before producing the silk fountain, show an 18 inch scarf of the same
color as the last color in your fountain bundle that is in your jacket pocket.(Or you could have
done the 20th Century silk just before this final production and show the middle scarf between the
other two.) Show the scarf back and front by crossing your arms in front of you. As your left hand
goes to the right, reach into your right jacket pocket to remove the fountain bundle and bring it up
and out of the pocket with one fell swoop. Release the Velcro tab to start the silk fountain. Before
you place the silk bundle in your pocket cut out 2 pieces of plastic from the lid of a box of greens
(for a salad) the size of your pocket. Put the fountain bundle in between the 2 sheets of plastic to
make it easy to remove the bundle. The audience will have no idea where all of those silk scarves
came from. I've done it this way for many years and it is truly magical.
