I recently discovered Shirvester through this, and immediately picked up his other work at the same
time. He has some of the most practical and easy effects imaginable, and so visual.
I
surprisingly love the rubber band appearance, (knock) which he thinks is the least practical of his
effects but if you wear sleeves (rolled up or down) you could have this set up and perform it and
the drop of a hat, so it’s actually very practical and so easy, I’ve done it live like 4 times and
it just kills.
Frame in (thumb penetration) is another surprise, with how easy the set up
is, I can’t see why I wouldn’t perform this.
Quantum theory is a very fun Ice breaker,
almost moveless, but I haven’t tried it in person yet, so we’ll see if it gets reactions.
Peacejump is a perfect opener to BJ4 and again so easy
Gungir is what I bought the
project for and was not disappointed, worth the price of the project alone.
As for the
other effects there all easy, visual, and don’t take much practice, so practical. They’re just not
my style.
I don’t know how to not sound like a broken record, I was so happy with this and
his other project. Not one trick is difficult to do, and he is a really good teacher. Couldn’t
recommend this more
