This dvd is garbage - period.
These quote, unquote "reaction ad-libs" are of the lamest
1950's variety. None of them are applicable in modern society and only a roomfull of geriatrics
would even laugh at it - as long as their hearing aids are turned up that is. Thankfully, I never
had to buy this. A friend bought it, brought it over, and then proceeded to steal about an hour of
my life away while watching Gary Darwin dish out some of the dumbest ad-libs that only Milton Berle
could love.
Avoid this, unless of course you've built a time machine and are planning to
take your act to the Jersey shore in 1960. While your at it, stop by my house about 6 months ago and
stop me from watching this piece of trash so that I won't have to remember it.
Lmao DAMN I'll take your word for it haha
This has got to be the best review on Penguin. When I see Reaction Ad-Libs listed on the Open Box, I always click it just so I can reread this review. Always makes me laugh out loud, even when I'm on the train. I imagine this is funnier than any material in this effect. Thanks for making us smile, Jack.
You don't use the words "quote/unquote" in text. You use ACTUAL quotation marks.
And while it may not be the freshest humor on the DVD, the guy writing this review is just being a dick.
I think it’s pretty telling that the trailer doesn’t show a single joke. It might be the first trailer in history to show exclusively set-ups. If you’re selling punchlines but won’t demonstrate a one- that doesn’t reek of confidence...
I agree that the review is hilarious and believe it is accurate. I got the My First Magic dvd for my 6 year old daughter and there are some very cringe worthy moments in that when the young blond assistant is helping out and being “taught” some of the tricks. He reminded me of an out of touch misogynist, and that was on a kids dvd. Having the name Darwin you would think he would me more evolved.
@RaceBlakhart:
You wrote: "You don't use the words "quote/unquote" in text. You use ACTUAL quotation marks."
He wrote it properly.
