If you're one of those folks constantly amazed by Derren Brown and how he does what he does, this book is a great taste of what goes on behind the scenes. Joshua Quinn has armed you here with a ton of effects that you can use as-is or modify to your own liking. This book is packed with practical information, and even though it's a little pricey for a softcover it's actually worth the investment.
