As most of us know, Jay Sankey is an extremely prolific creator. This is probably my favorite
product that I have of his. The book is great quality and the layout is easy to read/understand.
There are 81 effects here to choose from, so I'm sure you'll find at least some things that you
enjoy!
You'll find a mid-air card stab, several (Not twenty btw) applications of the bill
switch, Sankey's classic effect Leaving Home, an effect where you "unscrew" a signed dollar and
screw it back together, an impossible transposition of two cards that are sealed in containers, a
repeat card to card-case, a visual transposition of a stick of gum and a selected card...the list
goes on and on!
Here are some of my favorites...
Back in Time-Definitely one
of my all-time favorite card effects!
Leaving Home
Wichita Slip -Not a trick but a great
sleight to know.
Unscrewed
Forbidden Fruit
Extended Credit -Really great gag/effect just
for the shock value. The look on their faces is priceless, just be careful who you perform this
for...
Jaw-Dropper
Short Fuse
Just Joking-One of my go-to effects.
Group Hypnosis
A Stronger Magnet
Genuine Counterfeit
Voodoo
A Clear Impossibility-I didn't like
this one at first, but if you just try it out, it'll grow on you.
Power Lunch
Amateur Versus
Professional-Strong, simple, commercial card effect.
Sugar Rush
Strange Journey-The visuals
on this one are CRAZY!
Touch of Evil
World's Smallest Magic Wand-I don't care for some of
the handling, but the premise/effect is great.
Fire Down Below
Firefly
What's In a
Name?
Paging Ben Franklin-Seems like I'm the only one who really likes this effect, I don't know
why.
Creamed
Special Delivery
A Delicate Balance
20th Century Fox
House Bound
The Blues-It really is a great routine. You don't actually need a special blue stone. Just some
kind of blue thing that can fit inside a card case.
The Hustler
Bouncing Baby
Just
flipping through this book I always find things that I forgot about and I'll want to start using
them again. Other times I will just look at some of these effects as places to "stem off of" to
create my own effects. I think this book will teach you a lot about being creative.
Highly
Recommended.
