Precognition is one of the coolest stage, mentalism effect around. You could use this in a living
room or parlor setting but it's not a walkaround effect. Why? Because you need a DVD player and
monitor. The effect is simple, you have a six DVD set of Bonanza episodes (if you are under 35 you
may not remember Bonanza). You demonstrate with a volunteer that it is really a set of episodes and
that any episode and chapter can freely be selected. The magician then makes a writes his
prediction. Another volunteer randomly selects an episode and plays the episode. The magician
reveals a prediction - lines from the very episode that is playing! There are a lot of possiblities
for this trick. Having a projector and screen is probably a necessity for a large audience although
a portable DVD player might work for a smaller audience. The DVDs and packaging are top notch - no
cheesy sticker labels on the DVD.
