This is a really clever effect and I love playing with the gimmick but I can only give it 4 stars.
This one is more of an academic exercise IMHO. 1st. It is angle dependant...120 degrees I'd say.
2nd. It could be a worker but you would have to "work" to make it so. Basically if you are well
organized, experienced, and like the effect enough you can find a way to work this into a walk
around set, but the set up is such that, if you are new to magic or are not terrible organized, this
could be a one trick pony. 3rd. Making the gimmick will require cards with high quality control.
Until USPCC settles into it's new plant and gets things under control you may have to resort to
using expensive cards for a torn and restored effect. Not very cost effective!
Those are a
lot of "buts", but this is indeed a fantastically visual TNR and it has one of the most clever
gimmicks I have ever seen. Even though I have hardly ever performed with it I really enjoyed this
one and it has given me plenty of ideas that I have applied to other effects and gimmicks. I'd
recommend it for TNR fans and anyone who just loves clever gimmicks.
