This is a great effect. The method is something that no regular human being would think of. It really does look as good as the preview. But it ends really dirty and needs some work to clean up. But if you don't mind all that and the angles being pretty iffy, then go for it. I would say that if you're on the fence about it to go for it just because of the method.
Overall I think it is a great effect and truly unique but it just isn't for me.
