Sorry to disagree with all the posts below.
This ended up in my lap from another location.
TnR is great on film. That said... there many Torn and Restored Card Routines out there that
end up less dirty and are inspectable right away (Daniel Garcia TORN for one).
If you're doing a
"stand back" set where nobody's really around you then yes, this would be great.
In the vid
it mentions that this was David Copperfield's Torn Ascunder (or maybe a mix up during Chris'
discussion), but I don't think so. From what I've researched David's Torn Ascunder was by David
Williamson and has not been sold or shared for many years.
Let's just say you don't have the
time to master other Torn and Restored Cards, yes, this is perfect for you. It takes a months
practice and you're able to learn Yigel's or Daniels and you have a decently clean ending with
immediate inspection (AND the card is signed).
Unfortunately I disagree with those saying this
is THE BEST out there. Even my GF saw the intro video (just to mention I share NONE of the secrets
to my illusions with her) and she picked up on the fact that each time he brought a piece up it
appeared there was something behind it holding it in place due to the fact that he'd release the
opposite section.
Why end dirty when you can end cleanly with 29 days more practice (not
counting the day to create one or more of these gimmicks... it doesn't take the ENTIRE day, but I'm
not counting that day in particular)? Kind of sucks being in one place with NOWHERE to go and
NOWHERE to hide anything and NOWHERE to turn. On Film, yes, great, on TV, yes, great, but how many
of you perform on TV or FILM only right now? Please post a video where any of you have this in a
public location or at a party performing it and show your ending... that would really be a treat.
Plus, NOT ONCE do they show a performance in front of an audience with this (not even on the
intro vid).
