You can use it on stage and
flash the gimmicked side but it will not resist to close examination.

This comment is clearly from someone who ISN'T a working magician. A good magician can walk up there with two whiteboards that are only held together with a balled-up chunk of chewing gum, and they can still get the entire crowd on their side and believe whatever the hell they say. REAL MAGIC is about the performance. I bet this person would still complain if they hired actual ghosts to read their mind and write whatever they want on the slates. Just because the handwriting "isn't legible enough, or ghosts cost too much
