I have not actualy purchased a vox box, but from my understanding in the reviews, it sounds like you need that special box in order to do it. i have an effect like this by Jay Sankey called Pandoras bbox, i use it all the time, i think its fantastic, and the best part is you can install it into ANY card case. i reccomend you check that out too.
