its not out of the packaging performing...u need a lot of practicing, and there are some sleights that can easily get detected even if u are really good at it..

My 11 year old nephew is into magic, youbthink he can do this.he is ok with cards and can do tricks like red hit mama and 8card brainwave nick trost. Would this be easy to learn for him?

Those card tricks are very dissimilar to this one. Id recommend something tantamount to "superball" or "ignition" before you work your way up to this one.
