Since this is my first wallet, I can't make a comparison to the plethora of wallet choices out
there. I was looking for a traditional CTW and a switch wallet combined. The Buma Shogun model fit
the bill and at a price that makes it attractive to first time buyers.
The quality of the
wallet is very good - well made and sturdy. The leather is a bit stiff, but hopefully this will give
it some durability. While it is a bit larger than a traditional billfold, there's no problem fitting
in my back pocket. All the gimmicked features are well thought out and work like a charm. This has
become my everyday wallet, even though it's a bit low on compartments.
The included
instruction sheets are very basic and only include one full routine, so you may want to seek out
additional material if you're new to wallets. But the Buma Shotgun is a great way to get started and
has been a very satisfying out of the box experience.
The four-star rating is because I
don't have enough experience to say it's the best, but I'm looking forward to many years of use and
learning.
