The fire routine in the video, in of itself, was not the main attraction to me, although it was
quite a spectacular feat! What I appreciated the most, was seeing how a very young talented magician
(Jeremy Pei) can make use of common household items, and using them in such a way that produces
awesome effects.
Pyrotechnics will always catch the audience's attention in any and every
opening act. Jeremy Pei makes that all possible in three ways: 1) Safely; 2) Economically; and 3)
Spectacularly.
A few days ago I did the Candle-to-Torch-to-Cane routine for the first time.
The show went wild and the audience loved it. For the first time they were convinced I was a true
magician! (And I believed it, too!)
Thank you Penguin Magic!
