This gimmick is just too risky for me. In NO WAY would I place this in my spectators hand. They are sure to see the gimmick if they are looking at the bands. Mine unlinked many times with just slight movement. After ,much practice and performance, I am going to pass on this one.

You'll need to perform this with grace for it to be convincing. If you can do it, then YES you can hand it out clean at the end. The gimmick idea is clever but surely can be improved upon.
