Menotti certainly has a unique style and is an excellent craftsman with a smooth style. However, I
cam to feel that he actually OVERTHINKS his magic at times. For example, I don't think it is
necessary to always put yourself in the 'one down' position and the audience 'one up' when
performing- I prefer to create the sense of a shared journey. Linking themes and foreshadowing can
make a show feel more coherent, but ultimately it's the effects that are memorable, in my opinion.
There are some well thought out effects on the DVD and some interesting insights in the 'On
Betterment' section and his voiceover to performance.
Overall, worth the purchase...just.
