First of all, if you watch the DVD you can easily see how powerful of an effect this is. It's a very
original effect and one that I fell in love with immediately. If you're comfortable with using gaffs
and gimmicked cards, there's really no reason not to include this in your repertoire.
The
only negative thing I can say about it is that the gimmicks you get aren't quite up to the quality
I've come to expect from other items I've bought on Penguin's website. The description states that
they are specially printed Bicycle playing cards, which simply is not true. They are a gimmick
printed to look like Bicycle playing cards, but they are not on Bicycle card stock, the ink (at
least on the blue ones I received) was slightly off color on the back (very slightly), and they lack
the "Air Cushion Finish" that Bikes have. Most people won't notice the difference, but some might.
That being said, if you use the presentation where you claim it is a manufacturing error that the
cards were not cut apart from each other, just add in a bit about them not being finished and you'll
have a convincer for those who might otherwise notice.
Would have easily been five stars if
the gimmick was higher quality, but it's still a great trick with the gimmicks as is.
