100% examinable... Yes.... 100% gimmicked... Yes... But not really practical unless you bring the cap everywhere you go. I find that most of the time you will not have a water bottle (let alone any bottle) on hand; hence I think this gimmick is OK. It is very fragile (like my plastic spider pen which I still use, but now use the spider pen pro) but if you use it correctly the cap will last you a life time! (I purchased two of these from penguinmagic, but since I've only used this gimmick close to 100 times I did not really need the extra one). That alone proves that the gimmick supplied is fragile, but with care and attention, will last you forever (again, just like my original spider pen). All in all it's up to you and what you use/carry/perform on a daily basis. As for me, I find it a bit difficult to find a water bottle (unless I suspiciously carry one around with me) when I want to perform the trick. (Also, the cap doesn't really fit into my act as I thought it would, but again, that's just my personal preference.
