David Jays Ringmaster has fallen short of my expectations as well as revealing some of the
unexpected. I agree with Rapha on many levels, most of the tricks any one with an eye for magic
could easily deduce the method (save a few of the handlings.) by simply watching the trailer, which
is just a compilation of the so called performances.
The segments dubbed as performances are
more demonstrations, there is very little routining in the "six routines" the strongest and nicest
commentarry being the eightball finale which is one I do plan on putting into the routine I am
currently concocting.
Threads on other websites suggested it came with the eightball, which it
didnt, you think that one of the fifty cent locks may of come with it, it didnt.
Sure there are
some nice moves here but would have really liked to have seen more perfomances like Jay and Oz, and
even Greg Wilson do. But instead it was very choppy not much thought in the pscycology of delivering
the trick was discussed.
I bought this because I thought it a natural addition to Ring Leader
by Gregg Wilson but to be honest this dvd may have added two three minutes top to my routine, wish I
would have waited for this to hit the coolbox!
