I'm an old guy returning to Magic after 50 years. I've purchased quite a few items from Penguin and
am pleased. As to Tiny Plunger the cute factor is clearly an 11 on a scale of 10. But while the 3
men are great presenters, I was a bit disappointed to discover that the handling involved so many
sleights that are standard fare for accomplished Magicians they are a bit difficult for lesser
handlers. So the price seems high for a cute prop surrounded by standard but challenging moves.
Bottom line buy it for the cute factor then use practice and imagination to make it work for you if
you are a beginner like me.
Hi,
I too am an "old guy", not really a finger flinger, preferring non-card effects at the close up table. But I do have a few in my repertoire, some possibly requiring those standard card moves you speak of.
That being said, and your not giving away more than you are comfortable with, could you describe these moves, or at least the names of the moves, so I can make an informed buying decision?
Thanks!
Billy
Billy,
From what I remember, you will need to be able to hold a pinky break, do some slip cuts, cop a card, and perform a cull. The cull is briefly explained. The cop is not. I think there is another basic control involved as well. There is a false shuffle that isn't strictly necessary. You'll need to do some basic math on the fly.
The cop is not explained because it's also not strictly necessary
