I'm sitting down to RE-READ Dan Cain's book, "Get Paid to Perform" and I wanted to share my thoughts.

The downside: It's a little short. There are a few areas I'd like more details on the ins and outs of being a paid performer.

But it's still MORE than worth the cost!
It downloads as a PDF so you can read it on your computer or device of choice. I found it easy to read on my Ipad.
I really like his specificity in scripts to book shows. They tell you the benefits to the venue you're booking so you can tell them WHY it will be profitable for them, not just "please book me, I'm awesome".
He tells you why not to put your phone number on your card.
He says exactly, with front and back examples, how to make a brochure.

These are all the things I need to know to book more shows and present myself professionally.

Like most of you I have a big stack of books on magic. But this is the first one I've bought on how to be a professional businessman who happens to be a magician.
