You will confuse many magicians when you perform this (especially if you follow the directions given
to you by Andy for performance), but you won't outright fool them. The method is pretty much what
you think it is, though there are a few add-ons that make this deck unique from others on the
market.
It needs to be noted that shuffling this deck will nullify two of the three unique
things about it. You can put it back in the order you need it in though. This is not a normal "new
deck" stack, so even if you never shuffle it it will look cleanly shuffled. It is very easy to read,
which is another shortcoming because it is not examinable by any means. A casual glance will be
fine, but anyone holding the deck for less than 30 seconds will find the secret. Still, there is a
strong routine added where you use a regular deck in addition to the Code deck--and even allow the
spectator to keep the regular deck after the effect--that will keep most people off the scent. The
fact that you can do so many different things with the deck makes it a must-have in your arsenal of
decks.
