There are 3 or 4 REALLY GREAT moves available on this DVD, and the reasonable price makes it well
worth owning. Why not a 5 star rating? I have issues with the DVD: which is the meat of these
illusions. Most of what you watch is from the audiences point of view, which I found quite confusing
and VERY difficult to learn from. Eventually, Michael shows you a magician's (or first person point
of view)which was filmed in sepia, or off color. Personally, considering the intricate, delicate,
subtle, complexity of the moves involved MOST of the DVD should have been shot from magicians view,
and multiple presentations using slow motion photography should have been used, not just one. Slo-mo
was not used near enough. When using your fingers to preform routines like this it is a pain to have
to try to rewind and replay, and maintain the knotted positions your fingers are in! A DVD has lots
of space so providing 2 or 3 REAL slow motion takes from 1st person point of view for each routine
would have been ideal. Lastly, about 1/2 way through, the audio went bad on my DVD. I could
understand him but it was as if he was talking from across the room and not nearly as clear as it
should have been.Using DVD's as training tools, especially for magic, is ideal. I just wish guys
would really use them to their full potential. Michael did not, and he has some great stuff to teach
us. Bottom line: buy this. Michael is great at what he does and very personable. Eventually you WILL
figure things out, because the final results are worth it.
