A good magazine is like the Ernie Kovaks TV shows. If you don't like one thing, the next article
really grabs you. And no two people can agree about what grabs you and what stinks, which is why
editors grow old and die faster than a snail darter.
The May issue is no different; lots
of useful and interesting material, very little that I haven't used or tried by now. Electronic
copies are more useful to me, as I can carry a LOT around in my tablet, plus I don't have to have a
lamp on at night for reading purposes and annoying-the-sleepy-wife purposes.
I rather wish
that Genii (and all magic magazines) would go the ebook route and offer their issues here. These
PDFs, for instance, work much better than Genii's subscription e-copies. It's been a month, and I
still haven't been able to download or view anything from my Genii subscription, but the PDFs on
this site work first time, every time.
