Magic Tricks

I thought this was a very entertaining and inspiring lecture from Axel Hecklau but it was also very disappointing and quite misleading..

I was disappointed as there are only 4 tricks in the lecture you can actually perform with out spending Lots of money from his website to buy the correct gimmicks and props to make the effects worth performing, and i had a look on his website after the lecture and it is all expensive stuff!! $$$

for example Cup routine can only be done well with the set he sells on his website For well over $100 for it to be worth performing..
All of his torn and restored card tricks require special cards which only he sells..
He shows you how newsflash works but doesn't actually explain how to do it for yourself ( unless you buy it from him.. )
Although it was all very entertaining and great to watch, i only realised after the lecture that i had literally learned nothing apart from some important theory and stuff about using music..
Although he shows stuff which is worth well over $30 hardly any of it can actually be performed without purchasing it again with the right equipment from his website and this is what spoiled the lecture for me.

Overall i give it 3/5 * as he does share lots of valuable information and is a great performer who is very inspirational to watch and learn from, also the tricks that are impromptu are all nice little effects .
