The effect is great.
This particular product was just bad. The wand is not smooth all the way down. It makes a big difference. It also lessens the effect, when the wand does not start out looking perfect.
The quality control from the manufacturer was bad, as a big chunk of plastic was still on my wand which kept the wand from "restoring" correctly.
I'd go for the less expensive version.
