The gimmick is extremely clever, and does all the work. This is so easy to perform, and creates a nice effect. Penguin’s description is dead on: there are no forces. I was concerned about this, as well as the need for sleight of hand. I was relieved that no forces or sleight of hand are required. Although the trick can technically be repeated with the same spectator after resetting, I wouldn't recommend it.
