First of all, I think this trick has great potential in the hands of a good performer. I will be
nitpicking here, which I feel is justified, because this trick is quite expensive. My problem is
with the quality of my gimmick. My quarters came with a few major dents and scratches. Also a part
of my gimmick was placed sloppily, it seems, creating a noticeable defect. This trick says the coins
can be examined, and my coins can barely be closely looked at, so I feel this is false advertising.
I feel, however, based on the other reviews, that my gimmick is an anomaly, and that the other
gimmicks are of the highest quality. Even so, I am disappointed in mine.
Maybe a little too much detail in this review. Enough to figure out the gimmick I think. But we're all adults here, and the price ih high enough that consistency in quality is important. So thanks to the reports from a couple of purchasers who got sets that didn't work and look like the promises in the add. Penguin, is it possible to pre-inspect these before you ship? I'd hate to pay a hundred clams and get a clam that doesn't clam up when you need it to.
I'm also wondering if folks who got one that they had an issue with had e-mailed a photo of their product to acar@penguinmagic.com before writing the review. Maybe something could be done to satisfy you. I know penguin would never knowingly send out a poorly crafted product. Especially one that had a premium cost.
That said, the trick sounds amazing, and I can imagine how difficult it must be to make the gimmick.
