Magic Tricks

I bought this because I already had the "Cultural Exchange" DVD with Apollo Robbins and Shoot Ogawa, and wanted to get Eric Jones' take on this spectacular vanish. (On the DVD, Robbins explains the trick and the sleights involved well, but in a quite cursory way.) Jones does a superb job teaching the sleights involved, going over everything very carefully.

However, as he himself confesses, on a scale from 1-10 in difficulty for coin workers, "this is an 11 or 12." I agree with some of the buyers' comments here that there are some tricky angle difficulties involved, and that effect does not seem very practical. (At one point, the coin flashes while Eric is doing the routine.) I also don't think I'll ever be able to master the sleights involved. For folks with the time to pursue this, however, I think it's worth working on, because the effect is truly beautiful.
