2 american coins seems more common than two coins that no one ever uses, like a Mexican centavo. But I'm not sure how common that gold coin is in the states, but not a big deal for me. As long as it lasts and is durable. Unfortunately I can no longer use captain and coke 2.0 because the certain part scraped/chipped off so it won't hold together anymore. Another issue with captain and coke was that it wasn't very examinable, it wouldn't be hard for someone to see or feel something suspicious in the gimmick. With this scotch and soda set, someone could hold it and if they look carefully, they wouldn't be able to see the gimmick. But if they handle it, maybe they might be able to feel something, but it wouldn't be nearly as obvious as captain and coke was. Overall, I like this, and most importantly, I hope it is much more durable and keeps working. It does look and feel like it will be more durable with responsible care and handling.
