I saw Paul Richards demonstrate this at the Live Magic Expo in New Jersey, and I thought it was
great, but I had already emptied my pockets. Well, I just got my Penguin order the other day, and I
LOVE this thing. I'm not too great at coin magic, but man is this thing easy to use, and I've
already worked up two extensive routines with it. You can do vanishes, color changes, 3-Fly, Coins
Across...just about anything you can come up with.
Now it does have some weaknesses, of course,
the biggest being the sound. If you're using it along with real coins, you may have some noise
problems...but you can say the same thing about a flipper or shell, and there are ways around it.
The other problem is that it won't stand up to close scrutiny...but the payoff is that you can
create such rapid-fire, jaw-dropping magic that nobody will notice anyway. OK, so the Chinese coins
don't look so great close up...but still, where the hell are they coming from?! How did they
disappear?! They won't question the thin coins or the look of the Chinese coins while their brains
are exploding.
And if you're considering between this and the regular Super Triple, just get
this; it literally does everything that the Super Triple does, plus it has the Chinese faces.
And here's a fun tip for you: I keep Jay Sankey's Holy Stretch in my back pocket. Holy Stretch
is made of zinc, and the DFST is magnetic...instant holdout!
I love holy moly/stretch they are so good together. But holy moly isn’t worth it without stretch. I was told stretch had been discontinued a couple years back,(keep in mind this effect was my opener for nearly a decade but I lose things often. Probably bought theese eight times over the years) well found a stretch at tanners the other day. Now I find holy moly is out of stock everywhere!
So thanks for giving me an idea for an otherwise obsolete product.
