For stage work, these are ok. For close-up, parlor, or as a close to your cups and balls routine on the street (where I wanted to use them), forget it. While Wong's sponge tennis balls work because regular tennis balls have some fuzz. Eggs don't. These are obviously fuzzy and anyone within ten feet of you will instantly see these are fake. If you keep your hands moving, it's fine. If you are planning on using this for an egg bag, keep looking. They also don't compress much, so don't expect to get three of these in your hand like regular sponge balls.
