After watching his first lecture, I was looking forward to this lecture a lot.
However, I
did not find much that I would actually use and feel that Looch has chosen to teach effects that he
probably doesn't use when working either!
The effects from his upcoming black project have
actually put me off from buying it - and I was very much looking forward to that book!
It
seems to me that a lot of modern creators are choosing to lecture their B material - either because
their A material is actually someone elses or because they are scared that other magicians will
start performing their routines or because they just want to sell to magicians.
This causes
a problem when watching these lectures - it is painfully obvious that this is a collection of B
grade material. There are some nice thoughts and touches but nothing I would actually use in front
of real paying audiences.
I think I will stick with Cassidy, Osterlind and the classics
from now on.
