Magic Tricks

In earlier days, Juan's performance not allow for filming. Magicians can only experience the real magic of Juan Tamariz through live shows during magic conventions or his one man show.

Juan generously released quite a few number of video instruction videos in the last few years after A1 video 20 years ago, including 2 effects available through Groupokaps, Dan and Dave for his Mnemonica Master Work. Now, we are fortunate enough to have Maestro Juan Tamariz Penguin Live.

It is almost 3.5 hours long packed with cards effects, theory and sharing. It cannot be compared with his lecture (one hour only in most magic conventions) or his workshop (4-5 hours in recent years) I have been to those lecture / workshop in 2009 and 2011. I can tell you that Penguin Live content is NOT the same as those lecture / workshop.

Frankly speaking, if you were an admirer of Spanish School of Magic like me, you definitely studied most Juan's materials through his books / videos, as well as Ascanio books. There are no new tricks from this lecture, all of them can be found in his books including those he did not explained. However, watching those effects in action and Juan talked about the theory in magic like most other said, worth 10 times more than this lecture admission.

The only thing that disappointed me was the Q&A session is too short and brief, also most question requested us to submit were almost totally not mentioned in that Q&A session.

I totally understood that at age 72, we cannot request Maestro Juan Tamariz be able to still energetic to answer another hour of Q&A. So I urge those who bought this Penguin Live do please take note, rewatch and read Juan's Books again.

One of the best purchase in 2015 and this will be the best purchase of Penguin Live, ever!
